“When Heidi was in grade 3, she was diagnosed with a brain tumour – optic pathway glioma. She bravely underwent brain surgery, numerous chemotherapies, immunotherapy and targeted therapy. She completed treatment in November 2024. She graduated from Garden Valley Collegiate and plans to continue her education at Brandon University in health studies, pursuing the Bachelor of Nursing program.
