Sometimes, a thank you just doesn’t seem like enough. ❤️

The wonderful family behind Curling for a Cure has become so much more than supporters of Candlelighters. They have become friends, and honestly, they feel like family to us.

Each year, they organize their incredible fundraising bonspiel in Minnedosa in honour of their beloved Nicholas Melnyk. This year, they raised almost $50,000, with just over $24,000 coming to us! INCREDIBLE!

That money will help us support families going through one of the hardest things imaginable. Families who need a little help, a little relief, and to know they aren’t alone.

There is something so special about a family who turns their love for someone they have lost into something that helps others. Nicholas’s memory is making a difference in the lives of families facing childhood cancer, and we feel so honoured to be part of that.

Tuesday night, we were SO excited to share one of our events with them at the Winnipeg Jets game! Getting to spend time together and make memories outside of fundraising made the evening extra special. A huge thank you to the Winnipeg Jets for providing the tickets and making it possible!

To the Melnyk family and everyone behind Curling for a Cure, thank you for your huge hearts, your generosity, and your friendship. We are so lucky to have you in our lives.

Almost $50,000 raised at one event. So many lives touched. And a friendship that has become family.

We love you guys, and we are so grateful that our paths crossed. Thank you for keeping Nicholas’s memory alive in such a beautiful way and for allowing us to be part of his legacy.
