2024 CHILDHOOD CANCER SURVIVOR GRADUATE SARA!

“Sara’s graduated from Hapnot Collegiate in Flin Flon, MB. She was diagnosed with leukaemia at 11 years old. She underwent standard treatment followed by a bone marrow transplant in July 2018. After the transplant she had many complications including severe graft vs host disease. Her amazing doctors took such good care of her and tried many things until finally she started to recover.

In 2022 she had a new challenge. A sarcoma that required surgery to remove. She handled it with much strength and quickly put it behind her and continued on with high school where she’s been very successful.

She’s will be continuing her education at Mount Royal University in Calgary in the fall.

We received so much support from the Candlelighters over the years and we’re very grateful. Thank you.”
