ALL IT TAKES IS A SEED

Sometimes all it takes is a seed.

When I posted what we were doing to help the caregivers up on the Childrens cancer ward, I just wanted to let our supporters know how we are spending the funds they so generously give. My post was meant for my friends list only. Then I was asked if we were accepting donations. Then asked if I’d make my post public. Then asked to share it on Candlelighters media as well. Well let me tell you…. I hardly took my eyes off the computer yesterday. This snowballed into something that I could never have imagined. We’ve raised over $14,000. Restaurants have been reaching out. People have been offering to help families in other ways as well. I’ve been interviewed twice. It’s been quite the whirlwind. It’s one thing to believe in what you’re doing, and so much more when hundreds of people (many strangers) show that they too believe that we are doing great things and are excited to be a part of it. We have received donations of all values and want to say that every single donation matters! We see the heart behind every donation, and we are so grateful. These families will be fed well.

Thank you to Monique (parent on the ward), who made us aware of the situation up there. You planted the seed and it’s fully blossomed.

Thank you to everyone donating! This money will reach way beyond meals.

Thank you to CK5 for allowing us to be present on the ward, even if we can’t be there in person.

Thanks to the amazing board members. All decisions are voted on and it was a resounding yes as soon as it was mentioned.
