CURLING FOR A CURE DONATION!

“We want to leave it better than we found it”.

These are the words that were spoken by Danica Burgess today when we chatted about about their childhood cancer experience and “giving back”. Those powerful words were definitely felt as we accepted this extremely generous donation from Curling For A Cure, on behalf of the Burgess family. There is something special about being chosen by a family who has faced a childhood cancer diagnosis. The care package, parking passes, meals, coffee, and snack cupboard were vital when they spent time with Cain in hospital. This donation not only shows their appreciation, but also shows that they believe in what we do, and they want to be a part of our growth.

Curling For A Cure was started by Chad Yanchycki and his family after his grandpa, Nick Melnyk received a terminal cancer diagnosis in 2017. The curling event is now held in memory of Nick, and has grown every year since it’s inception.

Words can’t describe how grateful we are to Curling For A Cure and the Burgess family, and how much this will help other families impacted by childhood cancer. THANK YOU!! ♥️🎗️
